Request for Support to Improve Learning Conditions at Underprivileged Schools in Grand Kru County
Schools located in the remote areas of Grand Kru County, Liberia, face significant challenges in providing a conducive learning environment for their students. Grand Kru County faces economic and infrastructure challenges. There is poor infrastructure development. There are inadequate roads, transportation, and communication networks, which isolate the community and limit access to resources. Due to the deplorable road network and difficulties accessing the region couple with inadequate transport means for taking supplies and goods to the area, creates hardship for inhabitants in this region of Liberia.
Students are forced to sit on the floor during lessons and learning in makeshift edifices, which severely impacts their ability to learn effectively. This proposal seeks support to provide 10,000 classroom chairs and renovation of three school buildings to improve the learning conditions and promote a quality teaching and learning environment. There is a need for improved education to address the human resource gaps in the region.
We kindly request your assistance in making this initiative a reality. Your support will have a lasting positive impact on the education and lives of our students. The renovation of the 3 buildings and providing these chairs will help create a more conducive learning environment, promote equity in education, and improve the overall well-being of the students. Systemic inequalities, such as limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, have perpetuated poverty and disparities in the region.
